Fully automated matchday voting for the Eredivisie

ESPN: Man of the Match, Fully automated matchday voting for the Eredivisie

A Man of the Match vote sounds simple until you have to run one for every match in a league, every week, and feed the result back into a live broadcast. ESPN wanted exactly that for the Eredivisie, without it becoming a weekly manual job.

01

The brief

ESPN needed a Man of the Match vote for every Eredivisie match, every week, without a single hour of manual work.

Recurring, automated matchday mechanics like this sit at the core of boosting traffic and engagement on a broadcaster’s own platform: something for fans to do every week, that runs itself.
